Course Introduction


There are many factors that affect our emotions. External events can trigger our reactions, but what is the key to determining whether our reactions are positive or negative? More and more literatures point out that insufficient nutrient intake or abnormal metabolism will affect brain function, so diet and emotional response are closely related, and nutrients are also related to body hormone metabolism, which will directly affect mood, such as hyperthyroidism. Symptoms of anxiety, irritability, mood swings. When the body is stimulated in a specific way, the adrenal glands secrete cortisol to fight stress hormones. However, chronically high levels of cortisol can have negative effects on the body.


This course enables students to understand the source of stress and its different effects on the body, understand different emotional problems, how to manage emotions through diet, understand the relationship between intake of different nutrients and emotions, understand happy foods and their operating principles, Recipes and menu design skills, etc.
